The Grants task force leads our community’s efforts to secure the resources needed to transform Cashiers into a walkable community that will be a national model for accessibility and quality of life.

It also meets with other task forces to determine if their planned projects need funding through grants from foundations, county, state or federal agencies. It helps find an expert grant writer, secures funding for the writer’s services and collaborates with the writer to find an appropriate funder. When a funder is identified, the task force participates in crafting an application, then convinces the funding agency of the value of Vision Cashiers and the project, leading to the funding of Vision Cashiers initiatives.
